Γνωρίζω (I make known) δὲ ὑμῖν, ἀδελφοί, τὸ εὐαγγέλιον
ὃ εὐηγγελισάμην (I preached) ὑμῖν,
ὃ καὶ παρελάβετε (you received),
ἐν ᾧ καὶ ἑστήκατε (you stand),
δι᾿ οὗ καὶ σῴζεσθε (you are saved).
Answer
And I make known to you, brothers, the Gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, and through which also you are saved.
Νῦν ἡ ψυχή μου τετάρακται (he/she/it is troubled),
καὶ τί εἴπω;
πάτερ, σῶσόν (save!) με ἐκ τῆς ὥρας ταύτης;
ἀλλὰ διὰ τοῦτο ἦλθον (I came) εἰς τὴν ὥραν ταύτην.
πάτερ, δόξασόν (glorify!) σου τὸ ὄνομα.
ἦλθεν (he/she/it came) οὖν φωνὴ ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ·
καὶ ἐδόξασα (I glorified) καὶ πάλιν δοξάσω (I will glorify)....
ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν·
οὐ δι᾿ ἐμὲ ἡ φωνὴ αὕτη γέγονεν (he/she/it came)
ἀλλὰ δι᾿ ὑμᾶς.

Answer
“Now my soul is troubled, and what can I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? But for this reason I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name!” Then a voice came from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it and I will glorify it again….” And Jesus answered and said, “This voice did not come for my sake, but for yours.”
