And Mary said, “My soul (psychē | ψυχή | nom sg fem) magnifies the Lord,

And he said to them, “My soul (psychē | ψυχή | nom sg fem) is exceedingly sorrowful, even to the point of death; remain here and stay alert.”

and you shall love the Lord your God with your whole heart, and with your whole life (psychēs | ψυχῆς | gen sg fem), and with your whole mind, and with your whole strength.’

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life (psychēn | ψυχήν | acc sg fem) as a ransom for many.”

Or what can a man give in exchange for his life (psychēs | ψυχῆς | gen sg fem)?

For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his life (psychēn | ψυχήν | acc sg fem)?

For whoever wishes to save his life (psychēn | ψυχήν | acc sg fem) will lose it, but whoever will lose his life (psychēn | ψυχήν | acc sg fem) for my sake and that of the gospel will save it.

And he said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life (psychēn | ψυχήν | acc sg fem) or to destroy it?” But they remained silent.

Then he said to them, “My soul (psychē | ψυχή | nom sg fem) is exceedingly sorrowful, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch with me.”

And he said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul (psychē | ψυχῇ | dat sg fem), and with all your mind.’
