Since we have heard that some from among us have gone out and troubled you with their words, unsettling your minds (psychas | ψυχάς | acc pl fem) — we had given them no such instructions —
strengthening the souls (psychas | ψυχάς | acc pl fem) of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying, “It is through many tribulations that we must enter the kingdom of God.”
Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul (psychē | ψυχή | nom sg fem), and not even one said that anything that belonged to him was his own, but everything was common property for them.
