Greater love has no one than this, that a person lays down his life (psychēn | ψυχήν | acc sg fem) for his friends.

Jesus replied, “Will you lay down your life (psychēn | ψυχήν | acc sg fem) for me? I tell you the solemn truth, the rooster will not crow before you deny me three times.

Peter said to him, “Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life (psychēn | ψυχήν | acc sg fem) for you.”
