“Yes, Lord,” she said, “but even the dogs eat the crumbs (psichiōn | ψιχίων | gen pl neut) that fall from their masters’ table.”

They are filled with every kind of unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, meanness. They are gossips (psithuristas | ψιθυριστάς | acc pl masc),

For I am afraid that perhaps when I come I may find you not as I would wish, and that I may be found by you not as you would wish; perhaps there will be strife, jealousy, flaring anger, selfish ambition, backbiting, gossiping (psithurismoi | ψιθυρισμοί | nom pl masc), conceit, disorder.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches. To the one who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna. And I will give him a white stone (psēphon | ψῆφον | acc sg fem), and on that stone (psēphon | ψῆφον | acc sg fem) will be written a new name which no one can understand except the one who receives it.

And I did so in Jerusalem; not only did I lock up in prison many of the saints, after receiving authority from the chief priests, and when they were put to death I cast my vote (psēphon | ψῆφον | acc sg fem) against them.

This calls for wisdom: let (psēphisatō | ψηφισάτω | aor act imperative 3 sg) the one who has insight calculate (psēphisatō | ψηφισάτω | aor act imperative 3 sg) the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.

“For which of you, wanting to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate (psēphizei | ψηφίζει | pres act ind 3 sg) the cost, whether he has enough to bring it to completion;

That which has existed from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and our hands have touched (epsēlaphēsan | ἐψηλάφησαν | aor act ind 3 pl), concerning the word of life —

For you have not come to something that can be touched (psēlaphōmenō | ψηλαφωμένῳ | pres pass ptcp dat sg neut), to a blazing fire, and darkness, and gloom, and a whirlwind;

that they should seek God, if perhaps that they might grope (psēlaphēseian | ψηλαφήσειαν | aor act opt 3 pl) for him and find him, though indeed he is not far from each one of us.
