When they had gone through the whole island as far as Paphos, they met a certain man, a magician, a Jewish false (pseudoprophētēn | ψευδοπροφήτην | acc sg masc) prophet named Bar-Jesus,
Woe to you when all speak well of you, for their fathers treated the false (pseudoprophētais | ψευδοπροφήταις | dat pl masc) prophets (pseudoprophētais | ψευδοπροφήταις | dat pl masc) in the same way.
For false christs and false prophets (pseudoprophētai | ψευδοπροφῆται | nom pl masc) will arise and will offer signs and wonders in order to deceive, if possible, the elect.
