When they had gone through the whole island as far as Paphos, they met a certain man, a magician, a Jewish false (pseudoprophētēn | ψευδοπροφήτην | acc sg masc) prophet named Bar-Jesus,

Woe to you when all speak well of you, for their fathers treated the false (pseudoprophētais | ψευδοπροφήταις | dat pl masc) prophets (pseudoprophētais | ψευδοπροφήταις | dat pl masc) in the same way.

For false christs and false prophets (pseudoprophētai | ψευδοπροφῆται | nom pl masc) will arise and will offer signs and wonders in order to deceive, if possible, the elect.

For false messiahs and false (pseudoprophētai | ψευδοπροφῆται | nom pl masc) prophets will appear, and they will perform great signs and wonders so as to lead astray, if that were possible, even the elect.

And many false (pseudoprophētai | ψευδοπροφῆται | nom pl masc) prophets will arise and lead many astray;

“Beware of false (pseudoprophētōn | ψευδοπροφητῶν | gen pl masc) prophets; they come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

Beyond that, we are even found to be false witnesses (pseudomartyres | ψευδομάρτυρες | nom pl masc) about God, because we have borne witness about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised.

but they found none, even though many false (pseudomartyrōn | ψευδομαρτύρων | gen pl masc) witnesses (pseudomartyrōn | ψευδομαρτύρων | gen pl masc) came forward. Finally two came forward

Now the ruling priests and the entire Sanhedrin were looking for false (pseudomartyrian | ψευδομαρτυρίαν | acc sg fem) testimony against Jesus so they could put him to death,

For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false (pseudomartyriai | ψευδομαρτυρίαι | nom pl fem) witness, slander.
