You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery; You shall not murder; You shall not steal; You (pseudomartyrēsēs | ψευδομαρτυρήσῃς | aor act subj 2 sg) shall (pseudomartyrēsēs | ψευδομαρτυρήσῃς | aor act subj 2 sg) not bear (pseudomartyrēsēs | ψευδομαρτυρήσῃς | aor act subj 2 sg) false witness; Honor your father and mother.’

And some, standing up, were giving false (epseudomartyroun | ἐψευδομαρτύρουν | imperf act ind 3 pl) testimony against him, saying,

For many were giving false (epseudomartyroun | ἐψευδομαρτύρουν | imperf act ind 3 pl) testimony against him, but their testimonies were not in agreement.

“Which ones?” he inquired. And Jesus said, “‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do (pseudomartyrēseis | ψευδομαρτυρήσεις | fut act ind 2 sg) not give (pseudomartyrēseis | ψευδομαρτυρήσεις | fut act ind 2 sg) false testimony,

Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who claim to be Jews and are not, but lie (pseudontai | ψεύδονται | pres mid ind 3 pl) — I will make them come and bow down before your feet and understand that I have loved you.

If we say that we have fellowship with him but continue to walk in darkness, we lie (pseudometha | ψευδόμεθα | pres mid ind 1 pl) and are not putting the truth into practice.

But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and tell lies (pseudesthe | ψεύδεσθε | pres mid imperative 2 pl) against the truth.

so that through two unchangeable facts, in which it is impossible for God to lie (pseusasthai | ψεύσασθαι | aor mid inf ), we who have taken refuge might have strong incentive to hold fast to the hope set before us.

It is with reference to this witness that I was appointed a herald and apostle — I am speaking the truth; I (pseudomai | ψεύδομαι | pres mid ind 1 sg) am (pseudomai | ψεύδομαι | pres mid ind 1 sg) not lying (pseudomai | ψεύδομαι | pres mid ind 1 sg) — a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
