And the child (paidion | παιδίον | nom sg neut) grew and became strong in spirit, and he was in wilderness areas until the day of his public appearance to Israel.
All who heard took these things to their heart, saying, “What, then, will this child (paidion | παιδίον | nom sg neut) be?” For the hand of the Lord was with him.
On the eighth day they came to circumcise the child (paidion | παιδίον | acc sg neut), and they wanted to call him by the name of his father, Zechariah.
But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children (paidia | παιδία | acc pl neut) come to me. Do not prevent them, for of such is the kingdom of God.
“Whoever receives one of these children (paidiōn | παιδίων | gen pl neut) in my name, receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not me but the one who sent me.”
