So do not become idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.” (paizein | παίζειν | pres act inf )
But what does the Scripture say? “Drive away the slave woman (paidiskēn | παιδίσκην | acc sg fem) and her son, for the son of the slave (paidiskēs | παιδίσκης | gen sg fem) woman (paidiskēs | παιδίσκης | gen sg fem) must not share the inheritance with the son of the free woman.”
The son by the slave (paidiskēs | παιδίσκης | gen sg fem) woman was born according to the flesh, but the son by the free woman was born as the result of promise.
Now as we were going to the place of prayer, a slave (paidiskēn | παιδίσκην | acc sg fem) girl who had a spirit of divination, met us. She brought great profit to her masters by fortune-telling.
And when he knocked at the door of the gateway, a servant (paidiskē | παιδίσκη | nom sg fem) girl (paidiskē | παιδίσκη | nom sg fem) named Rhoda came to answer.
