So do not become idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.” (paizein | παίζειν | pres act inf )

So then, brothers, we are not children of a slave woman (paidiskēs | παιδίσκης | gen sg fem) but of the free woman.

But what does the Scripture say? “Drive away the slave woman (paidiskēn | παιδίσκην | acc sg fem) and her son, for the son of the slave (paidiskēs | παιδίσκης | gen sg fem) woman (paidiskēs | παιδίσκης | gen sg fem) must not share the inheritance with the son of the free woman.”

The son by the slave (paidiskēs | παιδίσκης | gen sg fem) woman was born according to the flesh, but the son by the free woman was born as the result of promise.

For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman (paidiskēs | παιδίσκης | gen sg fem) and one by the free woman.

Now as we were going to the place of prayer, a slave (paidiskēn | παιδίσκην | acc sg fem) girl who had a spirit of divination, met us. She brought great profit to her masters by fortune-telling.
