What agreement can the temple of God have with idols? For we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) are the temple of the living God; just as God said: “I will dwell in their midst and walk among them; I will be their God and they will be my people.”
He made him who knew no sin to be a sin-offering for us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st), so that in him we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) might become the righteousness of God.
Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making his appeal through us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st). We implore you on behalf of Christ, “Be reconciled to God.”
that is, God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them. And he has entrusted us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) with the message of reconciliation.
And all this is from God, who has reconciled us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) to himself through Christ and given us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) the ministry of reconciliation;
So from now on we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, yet now we regard him in that way no longer.
