as you also join in helping us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) by prayer, so that thanks may be given by many people on our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) behalf for the gracious gift granted to us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) through the help of many.
He delivered us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) from so great a risk of death and will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us yet again,
For we want you to know, brothers, about the affliction we (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) suffered in Asia, that we were burdened excessively beyond our power to cope, so that we (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) despaired even of living.
And our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) hope for you is firm, because we know that as you share in our sufferings, so also you will share in our encouragement.
If we are distressed, it is for your encouragement and salvation; if we are encouraged, it is for your encouragement that you experience in your patient endurance of the same sufferings that we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) also suffer.
For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow to us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st), so also does the encouragement we (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) receive (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) through Christ overflow.
who encourages us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) in all our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) troubles, so that we (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) may be able to encourage those experiencing any trouble with the encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged by God.
