Now these things took place as examples for us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st), so that we (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) would not crave evil things, even as they did.

For I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) fathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea,

Everyone who competes exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) for an imperishable one.

If others have a share in this right over you, do not we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) even more? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right, but endure all things lest we place some obstacle in the way of the gospel of Christ.

If we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) sowed spiritual things among you, is it too much if we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) reap material things from you?

Or does he not speak entirely for our (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) sake. To be sure, it was written for our (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) sake, because the one plowing should plow in hope and the one threshing thresh in hope of sharing in the crop.

Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) Lord? Are you not the result of my labor in the Lord?

Food does not bring us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) close to God. We are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.

yet for us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) exist.

and God both has raised the Lord and will raise us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) up by his power.
