We (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners;

and when James and Cephas and John, who were acknowledged pillars, recognized the grace that had been given to me, they gave to Barnabas and me the right hand of fellowship, agreeing that we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

This matter came up because of some false brothers secretly brought in — they had slipped in to spy out the freedom we have in Christ Jesus so that they might make slaves of us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) —

They only kept hearing, “The one who formerly persecuted us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.”

But even if we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st), or an angel from heaven, should preach a gospel at odds with the one we already preached to you, let him be accursed.

who gave himself for our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) sins in order to rescue us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) from this present evil age, according to the will of our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) God and Father,

Grace to you and peace from God our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,

For we rejoice whenever we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) are weak, but you are strong. And this is what we pray for, your Christian maturity.

Now we pray to God that you may not do anything wrong, not that we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) would appear as having passed the test, but that you may do what is right even though we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) may appear as having failed.

And I hope that you will find out that we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) do not fail the test!
