Lest perhaps if some Macedonians should come with me and not find you ready, we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) — to say nothing of you — would be humiliated by this confidence.

But I am sending these brothers so that what we (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) say in praise of you may not be an empty boast in this instance, that you may be ready just as I said you would be.

Therefore show them openly before the churches the proof of your love and the reason for our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) pride in you.

As for Titus, he is my companion and fellow worker among you. As for our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) brothers, they are delegates of the churches, an honor to Christ.

And we are sending along with them our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) brother whom we have often tested in many matters and found to be eager, and now he is all the more eager because of his great confidence in you.

We are taking this precaution so that no one should blame us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) for the way we (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) are administering this generous gift,

And not only this, but he has been appointed by the churches to be our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) traveling companion as we (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) carry out this act of kindness for the glory of the Lord himself, and to show our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) readiness.

For you know the grace of our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.

But as you excel in everything — in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all eagerness, and in the love we (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) have aroused in you — make sure that you excel in this act of kindness.

So we (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) urged Titus that just as he had previously begun the work, so now he should complete this act of kindness among you.
