6. ἐξῆλθεν καὶ ἀπῆλθεν

ἐξῆλθεν καὶ ἀπῆλθεν εἰς ἔρημον (lonely) τόπον κἀκεῖ (and there) προσηύχετο. καὶ εὗρον αὐτὸν καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ ὅτι πάντες ζητοῦσίν σε.

ἐξῆλθεν καὶ ἀπῆλθεν εἰς ἔρημον (lonely) τόπον

κἀκεῖ (and there) προσηύχετο.

καὶ εὗρον αὐτὸν καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ

ὅτι πάντες ζητοῦσίν σε.

He went out and departed into a lonely place and was praying there. And they found him and are saying to him, “Everyone is seeking you.”

7. λέγει αὐτοῖς· ἔρχεσθε

λέγει αὐτοῖς· ἔρχεσθε (come!) καὶ ὄψεσθε. ἦλθαν οὖν καὶ εἶδαν ποῦ (where) μένει καὶ παρ᾿ αὐτῷ ἔμειναν τὴν ἡμέραν ἐκείνην.

λέγει αὐτοῖς·

ἔρχεσθε (come!) καὶ ὄψεσθε.

ἦλθαν οὖν καὶ εἶδαν ποῦ (where) μένει

καὶ παρ᾿ αὐτῷ ἔμειναν τὴν ἡμέραν ἐκείνην.

He is saying to them, “Come, and you will see.” Then they went and saw where he is staying, and they spent that day with him.

καὶ ἀπῆλθεν καὶ ἤρξατο κηρύσσειν (to preach) ἐν τῇ Δεκαπόλει ὅσα ἐποίησεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς.

καὶ ἀπῆλθεν καὶ ἤρξατο κηρύσσειν (to preach) ἐν τῇ Δεκαπόλει

ὅσα ἐποίησεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς.

And he went and began to preach in the Decapolis how much Jesus did for him.

She is saying to them, “They took my lord, and I do not know where they laid him.”

4. Ἤκουσεν Ἰησοῦς ὅτι

!Ηκουσεν Ἰησοῦς ὅτι ἐξέβαλον αὐτὸν ἔξω καὶ εὑρὼν (after finding) αὐτὸν εἶπεν· σὺ πιστεύεις εἰς τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου;

!Ηκουσεν Ἰησοῦς

ὅτι ἐξέβαλον αὐτὸν ἔξω

καὶ εὑρὼν (after finding) αὐτὸν εἶπεν·

σὺ πιστεύεις εἰς τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου;

Jesus heard that they threw him out, and after finding him, he said to him, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”
