Endure your trials as divine discipline (paideian | παιδείαν | acc sg fem). God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom a father does not discipline?

And have you forgotten the word of encouragement that speaks to you as sons? “My son, do not regard lightly the discipline (paideias | παιδείας | gen sg fem) of the Lord, nor lose heart when corrected by him.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correcting, for training (paideian | παιδείαν | acc sg fem) in righteousness,

And fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but raise them up in the discipline (paideia | παιδείᾳ | dat sg fem) and admonition of the Lord.

“There is a little (paidarion | παιδάριον | nom sg neut) boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?”

But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian (paidagōgon | παιδαγωγόν | acc sg masc).

Thus the law was our disciplinarian (paidagōgos | παιδαγωγός | nom sg masc) until the time of Christ, so that we might be declared righteous by faith.

For though you have innumerable guardians (paidagōgous | παιδαγωγούς | acc pl masc) in Christ, you do not have many fathers, because I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

not with the passion (pathei | πάθει | dat sg neut) of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God.

Therefore put to death Therefore whatever is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, lust (pathos | πάθος | acc sg neut), evil desire, evil and covetousness, which is idolatry.
