if somehow I could provoke my own countrymen (sarka | σάρκα | acc sg fem) to jealousy and save some of them.

This means it is not the children of the flesh (sarkos | σαρκός | gen sg fem) who are children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as descendants.

To them belong the patriarchs, and from them by human (sarka | σάρκα | acc sg fem) descent (sarka | σάρκα | acc sg fem) came the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

because the mind set on the flesh (sarkos | σαρκός | gen sg fem) is hostile to God; it does not submit to the law of God; in fact, it cannot.

To set the mind on the flesh (sarkos | σαρκός | gen sg fem) leads to death, but to set the mind on the Spirit brings life and peace,
