yet we know that no one is justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. And we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by doing the works of the law, since no one will be justified by the works of the law.

to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not consult with flesh (sarki | σαρκί | dat sg fem) and blood,

especially because of the extraordinary character of my revelations. Therefore in order that I should not become conceited, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh (sarki | σαρκί | dat sg fem), a messenger of Satan to torment me, that I should not become conceited.

Since there are many who are boasting according to the flesh (sarka | σάρκα | acc sg fem), I too will boast.

For though we walk in the flesh (sarki | σαρκί | dat sg fem), we are not waging war according to the flesh (sarka | σάρκα | acc sg fem),

I ask that when I am present I may not have to be “bold,” with such a confidence as I expect I will dare to use against those who think that we are walking according to the flesh (sarka | σάρκα | acc sg fem).

For even when we came to Macedonia, our bodies (sarx | σάρξ | nom sg fem) had no rest, but on all sides we were distressed — from the outside came conflicts, from within there were fears.

Since then we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of flesh (sarkos | σαρκός | gen sg fem) and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

So from now on we regard no one according to the flesh (sarka | σάρκα | acc sg fem). Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh (sarka | σάρκα | acc sg fem), yet now we regard him in that way no longer.

For we who live are constantly being handed over to death for the sake of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh (sarki | σαρκί | dat sg fem).
