And in this matter I am giving my opinion; for this is beneficial for you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd), who last year not only began to do this work but also to desire to do it.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) sakes he became poor, so that you (hymeis | ὑμεῖς | nom pl 2nd) by his poverty might become rich.

But as you excel in everything — in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all eagerness, and in the love we have aroused in you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) — make sure that you excel in this act of kindness.

So we urged Titus that just as he had previously begun the work, so now he should complete this act of kindness among you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd).

We want you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) to know, brothers, about the grace of God shown among the churches of Macedonia,

I rejoice because in everything I have complete confidence in you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd).

And his affection for you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) is even greater when he recalls the obedience of (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) all, how with fear and trembling you welcomed him.

For if I have boasted to him about anything regarding you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd), I have not been embarrassed, but just as everything we said to (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) was true, so also our boast to Titus about you has proved true.

Because of this we are encouraged. And in addition to our own encouragement, we rejoiced more than ever at the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by all of you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd).

So then, even though I wrote to you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd), it was not on account of the offender, nor on account of the one offended, but that your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) earnestness toward us might be revealed to you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) in the sight of God.
