And when I was present with you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) and in need, I did not burden anyone, for when the brothers came from Macedonia they supplied my need.
Or did I commit a sin in humbling myself so that you (hymeis | ὑμεῖς | nom pl 2nd) could be exalted, because I proclaimed the gospel of God to (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) without a charge?
But even if I am an amateur in speaking, I am certainly not in knowledge. Rather, in every way we have made this plain to you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) as to all.
But I am afraid, however, that just as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) minds may be led astray from the simplicity and purity that is in Christ.
For I am jealous for (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) with a jealousy God inspires, for I have promised you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) in marriage to a single husband, to Christ, that I might present you to him as an undefiled virgin.
so that we may preach the gospel in places beyond you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd), not boasting about the work already done in another person’s territory.
We will not go beyond proper limits by boasting in the labors of others, but we have hope that as your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) faith continues to grow, our area of activity among you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) will be greatly enlarged,
For it is not as though we had not come to you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd), over-reaching ourselves, for we did come even as far as you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) with the gospel of Christ.
We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but only within the measure of the sphere of action which God has assigned to us as a measure, extending even as far as you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd).
