But I am sending these brothers so that what we say in praise of you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) may not be an empty boast in this instance, that you may be ready just as I said you would be.

for I know your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) readiness to help, about which I keep boasting to the Macedonians, saying that Achaia has been ready since last year, and your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) zeal has stirred up most of them.

Now concerning the service to the saints, there is no necessity for me to write to you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd),

Therefore show them openly before the churches the proof of your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) love and the reason for our pride in you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd).

As for Titus, he is my companion and fellow worker among you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd). As for our brothers, they are delegates of the churches, an honor to Christ.

And we are sending along with them our brother whom we have often tested in many matters and found to be eager, and now he is all the more eager because of his great confidence in you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd).

because he not only accepted our request, but being very eager and acting on his own initiative, he is on his way to you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd).

But thanks be to God who put the same eagerness on your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) behalf in the heart of Titus,

at the present time your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) abundance should supply what they need, so that then their abundance may supply your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) need; in this way there will be equality.

For this is not for the ease of others and a burden for you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd), but a matter of equality;
