But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved (ēgapēsen | ἠγάπησεν | aor act ind 3 sg) us,

to the praise of his glorious grace with which he has highly favored us in the Beloved (ēgapēmenō | ἠγαπημένῳ | perf pass ptcp dat sg masc).

For the entire law is summed up in a single command: “You shall love (agapēseis | ἀγαπήσεις | fut act ind 2 sg) your neighbor as yourself.”

and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved (agapēsantos | ἀγαπήσαντος | aor act ptcp gen sg masc) me and gave himself for me.

I will most gladly spend and be spent on behalf of your souls. If I (agapō | ἀγαπῶ | ) love (agapō | ἀγαπῶ | ) you more, am (agapōmai | ἀγαπῶμαι | pres pass ind 1 sg) I (agapōmai | ἀγαπῶμαι | pres pass ind 1 sg) to (agapōmai | ἀγαπῶμαι | pres pass ind 1 sg) be (agapōmai | ἀγαπῶμαι | pres pass ind 1 sg) loved (agapōmai | ἀγαπῶμαι | pres pass ind 1 sg) less?

Why is that? Is it because I (agapō | ἀγαπῶ | pres act ind 1 sg) do (agapō | ἀγαπῶ | pres act ind 1 sg) not love (agapō | ἀγαπῶ | pres act ind 1 sg) you? God knows I do.

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly nor under constraint, for it is the cheerful giver whom God loves (agapa | ἀγαπᾷ | pres act ind 3 sg).

But if someone loves (agapa | ἀγαπᾷ | pres act ind 3 sg) God, he is known by God.

But, as it is written, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, nor has the mind of man imagined, the things that God has prepared for those who love (agapōsin | ἀγαπῶσιν | pres act ptcp dat pl masc) him.”

For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” (and any other commandment there may be) are summed up in this “You shall love (agapēseis | ἀγαπήσεις | fut act ind 2 sg) your neighbor as yourself.”
