And the basis for judging is this, that light has come into the world and people love (ēgapēsan | ἠγάπησαν | aor act ind 3 pl) darkness rather than light, because their deeds are evil.
“For this is how God loved (ēgapēsen | ἠγάπησεν | aor act ind 3 sg) the world: he gave his one and only Son that everyone who believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
“No servant is able to serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and love (agapēsei | ἀγαπήσει | fut act ind 3 sg) the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”
In answer he said, “You shall love (agapēseis | ἀγαπήσεις | fut act ind 2 sg) the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your life, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
Therefore I can tell you, “Her sins, which were many, have been forgiven, for she loved (ēgapēsen | ἠγάπησεν | aor act ind 3 sg) much. But the one to whom little is forgiven loves (agapa | ἀγαπᾷ | pres act ind 3 sg) little.’”
When they were unable to pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will (agapēsei | ἀγαπήσει | fut act ind 3 sg) love (agapēsei | ἀγαπήσει | fut act ind 3 sg) him more?”
But love (agapate | ἀγαπᾶτε | pres act imperative 2 pl) your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and evil.
And if you love (agapate | ἀγαπᾶτε | pres act ind 2 pl) those who love (agapōntas | ἀγαπῶντας | pres act ptcp acc pl masc) you, what credit is it to you? For even sinners love (agapōsin | ἀγαπῶσιν | pres act ind 3 pl) those who love (agapōntas | ἀγαπῶντας | pres act ptcp acc pl masc) them.
