Abraham your father rejoiced (ēgalliasato | ἠγαλλιάσατο | aor mid ind 3 sg) to see my day; he saw it and was glad.

He was a lamp that was burning and giving light, and you were willing for a time to rejoice (agalliathēnai | ἀγαλλιαθῆναι | aor pass inf ) in his light.

At this time Jesus was filled (ēgalliasato | ἠγαλλιάσατο | aor mid ind 3 sg) with joy by the Holy Spirit, and said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was well-pleasing in your sight.

Rejoice and be very glad (agalliasthe | ἀγαλλιᾶσθε | pres mid imperative 2 pl) because your reward is great in heaven; for that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Now to the one who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in his glorious presence without blame and with great joy (agalliasei | ἀγαλλιάσει | dat sg fem) —

You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness (agalliaseōs | ἀγαλλιάσεως | gen sg fem) beyond your companions.”

And every day, they continued to gather together in the temple, breaking bread from house to house, sharing their food with joy (agalliasei | ἀγαλλιάσει | dat sg fem) and simplicity of heart,

For behold, as the sound of your greeting came into my ear, the baby in my womb leaped for joy (agalliasei | ἀγαλλιάσει | dat sg fem).

And for you there will be joy and gladness (agalliasis | ἀγαλλίασις | nom sg fem), and many will rejoice because of his birth,
