With this in view we pray for you constantly, that our God will count you worthy of his calling, and by his power bring to fulfillment every good resolve (agathōsynēs | ἀγαθωσύνης | gen sg fem) and work of faith,

(for the fruit of light consists in all goodness (agathōsynē | ἀγαθωσύνῃ | dat sg fem), righteousness, and truth),

By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity (agathōsynē | ἀγαθωσύνη | nom sg fem), faithfulness,

I myself am convinced my brethren, that you yourselves are full of goodness (agathōsynēs | ἀγαθωσύνης | gen sg fem), filled with all knowledge, and able also to instruct one another.

Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good (agathon | ἀγαθόν | acc sg neut). The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God.

This water prefigures baptism, which now saves you — not the removal of dirt from the body but the answer of a good (agathēs | ἀγαθῆς | gen sg fem) conscience to God — by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

But do it with gentleness and respect, maintaining a clear (agathēn | ἀγαθήν | acc sg fem) conscience, so that in the very thing for which you are being slandered, those who are reviling your good (agathēn | ἀγαθήν | acc sg fem) conduct in Christ will be put to shame.

And who is the one who will harm you if you become zealots for what is good (agathou | ἀγαθοῦ | gen sg neut)?

And let him turn away from evil and do good (agathon | ἀγαθόν | acc sg neut); let him seek peace and pursue it.

For “The one who desires to love life and to see good (agathas | ἀγαθάς | acc pl fem) days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.
