Now I make known to you, brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc), the gospel that I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand,
What then is the outcome, brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc)? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue, an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.
But as it is, brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc), if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you unless I impart to you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching?
For I do not want you to be unaware, brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc), that our fathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea,
Do we not have the right to the company of a believing wife, as also the other apostles, the Lord’s brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | nom pl masc), and Cephas do?
Therefore, if food causes my brother (adelphon | ἀδελφόν | acc sg masc) to stumble, again I will never eat meat, lest I cause one of (adelphon | ἀδελφόν | acc sg masc) them to stumble.
