Therefore, my brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc), you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, my dear friends!

Join in following my example, brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc), and pay close attention to those who are living this way, as you have us as an example.

Brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc), I do not consider to have made it my own; but this one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching out to what lies ahead,

Finally, my brethren (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc), rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again to you is no trouble for me, and it is a safeguard for you.

In the meantime I think it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother (adelphon | ἀδελφόν | acc sg masc), fellow worker, and fellow soldier, as well as your messenger and minister to my need,

and that most of the brothers (adelphōn | ἀδελφῶν | gen pl masc), having gained confidence in the Lord by my imprisonment, dare more than ever to speak the word of God without fear.

Now I want you to know, brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc), that what has happened to me has turned out to advance the gospel even more,

Peace be to the brothers (adelphois | ἀδελφοῖς | dat pl masc), and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Now in order that you also may know my circumstances, how I am doing, Tychicus, a dear brother (adelphos | ἀδελφός | nom sg masc) and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you everything.
