So then, brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc), stand firm and hold to the traditions that you were taught, either by what we said or what we wrote.

But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc) loved by the Lord, because God chose you as first fruits for salvation, by sanctification of the Spirit and belief in the truth.

Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling to him, we ask you, brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc),

We ought always to thank God for you, brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc), as is fitting, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of each one of you for one another is increasing,

I ask you to swear by the name of the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers (adelphois | ἀδελφοῖς | dat pl masc).

Greet all the brothers (adelphous | ἀδελφούς | acc pl masc) with a holy kiss.

Pray also for us, brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc).

Now we appeal to you, brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc), admonish the disorderly, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient toward all.

Now we ask you, brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc), to respect those who work tirelessly among you, care for you Lord, and instruct you;
