But Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said to him, “You lack one thing — go, sell whatever you have and give the money to the poor; then you will have treasure in heaven. And come, follow (akolouthei | ἀκολούθει | pres act imperative 2 sg) me.”
John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him because he (ēkolouthei | ἠκολούθει | imperf act ind 3 sg) was (ēkolouthei | ἠκολούθει | imperf act ind 3 sg) not following (ēkolouthei | ἠκολούθει | imperf act ind 3 sg) us.”
