And looking on from a distance were many women who had followed (ēkolouthēsan | ἠκολούθησαν | aor act ind 3 pl) Jesus from Galilee to care for his needs.

And Peter followed (ēkolouthei | ἠκολούθει | imperf act ind 3 sg) him at a distance, up to the courtyard of the high priest; then going inside he sat down with the guards to see what would happen.

The crowds that went before him and those that followed (akolouthountes | ἀκολουθοῦντες | pres act ptcp nom pl masc) were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”

Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed (ēkolouthēsan | ἠκολούθησαν | aor act ind 3 pl) him.

As they were going out of Jericho, a large crowd followed (ēkolouthēsen | ἠκολούθησεν | aor act ind 3 sg) him.

Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth that in the new age, when the Son of Man is seated on his glorious throne, you who have followed (akolouthēsantes | ἀκολουθήσαντες | aor act ptcp nom pl masc) me will also sit on twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Then Peter responded, saying to him, “See, we have left everything and followed (ēkolouthēsamen | ἠκολουθήσαμεν | aor act ind 1 pl) you. What then will there be for us?”

Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow (akolouthei | ἀκολούθει | pres act imperative 2 sg) me.”

Large crowds followed (ēkolouthēsan | ἠκολούθησαν | aor act ind 3 pl) him, and he healed them there.

Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone resolves to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow (akoloutheitō | ἀκολουθείτω | pres act imperative 3 sg) me.
