Those who (akousantes | ἀκούσαντες | aor act ptcp nom pl masc) heard (akousantes | ἀκούσαντες | aor act ptcp nom pl masc) it said, “Who, then, can be saved?”
But when (akousas | ἀκούσας | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) he heard (akousas | ἀκούσας | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) this, he became very sad, for he was extremely wealthy.
Upon hearing (akousas | ἀκούσας | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) this, Jesus said to him, “One thing you still lack: sell all that you have and distribute the proceeds to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
He said to him, ‘If they (akouousin | ἀκούουσιν | pres act ind 3 pl) do (akouousin | ἀκούουσιν | pres act ind 3 pl) not listen (akouousin | ἀκούουσιν | pres act ind 3 pl) to (akouousin | ἀκούουσιν | pres act ind 3 pl) Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be persuaded should someone rise from the dead.’”
So he called him in and said to him, ‘What is this I hear (akouō | ἀκούω | pres act ind 1 sg) about you? Hand over the account of your stewardship, because you cannot be my manager any longer.’
“Meanwhile his older son was in the field, and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard (ēkousen | ἤκουσεν | aor act ind 3 sg) music and dancing.
