It happened that, when the crowd was pressing around him and listening (akouein | ἀκούειν | pres act inf ) to the word of God, that he was standing beside the lake of Gennesaret
And he said to them, “No doubt you will quote this proverb to me: ‘Physician, heal yourself.’ What we have heard (ēkousamen | ἠκούσαμεν | aor act ind 1 pl) happened in Capernaum, do also here in your hometown.”
Then after three days they found him in the temple, seated in the midst of the teachers, listening (akouonta | ἀκούοντα | pres act ptcp acc sg masc) to them and asking them questions.
Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard (ēkousan | ἤκουσαν | aor act ind 3 pl) and seen, just as it had been told them.
All who heard (akousantes | ἀκούσαντες | aor act ptcp nom pl masc) took these things to their heart, saying, “What, then, will this child be?” For the hand of the Lord was with him.
And her neighbors and relatives heard (ēkousan | ἤκουσαν | aor act ind 3 pl) that the Lord had greatly displayed his mercy to her, and they rejoiced with her.
and when Elizabeth heard (ēkousen | ἤκουσεν | aor act ind 3 sg) the greeting of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb. Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit,
