It happened that, when the crowd was pressing around him and listening (akouein | ἀκούειν | pres act inf ) to the word of God, that he was standing beside the lake of Gennesaret

And everyone in the synagogue was filled with wrath when they heard (akouontes | ἀκούοντες | pres act ptcp nom pl masc) these things.

And he said to them, “No doubt you will quote this proverb to me: ‘Physician, heal yourself.’ What we have heard (ēkousamen | ἠκούσαμεν | aor act ind 1 pl) happened in Capernaum, do also here in your hometown.”
