And hearing (akousas | ἀκούσας | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Son of David, Jesus, have mercy on me!”
Then a cloud appeared, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my Son, the beloved, in whom I am well pleased; listen (akouete | ἀκούετε | pres act imperative 2 pl) to him!”
Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do (akouete | ἀκούετε | pres act ind 2 pl) you (akouete | ἀκούετε | pres act ind 2 pl) not hear (akouete | ἀκούετε | pres act ind 2 pl)? And do you not remember?
They were absolutely astonished, saying, “He has done all things well. He makes the deaf to hear (akouein | ἀκούειν | pres act inf ) and the mute to speak!”
But immediately after hearing (akousasa | ἀκούσασα | aor act ptcp nom sg fem) of him, a woman whose daughter had an unclean spirit came and fell at his feet.
