The next day the large crowd that had come to the festival, on hearing (akousantes | ἀκούσαντες | aor act ptcp nom pl masc) that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

I know that you (akoueis | ἀκούεις | pres act ind 2 sg) always hear (akoueis | ἀκούεις | pres act ind 2 sg) me, but I said this for the sake of the crowd standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

So they took away the stone. Then Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard (ēkousas | ἤκουσας | aor act ind 2 sg) me.

So when Mary heard (ēkousen | ἤκουσεν | aor act ind 3 sg) this, she got up quickly and went to him.

So when Martha heard (ēkousen | ἤκουσεν | aor act ind 3 sg) that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary remained in the house.

So when he heard (ēkousen | ἤκουσεν | aor act ind 3 sg) that Lazarus was ill, he stayed where he was for two more days.

But when Jesus heard (akousas | ἀκούσας | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) this, he said, “This illness will not lead to death, but is for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

My sheep listen (akouousin | ἀκούουσιν | pres act ind 3 pl) to (akouousin | ἀκούουσιν | pres act ind 3 pl) my voice, and I know them. They follow me,

Many of them were saying, “He is demon-possessed and out of control. Why are (akouete | ἀκούετε | pres act ind 2 pl) you (akouete | ἀκούετε | pres act ind 2 pl) listening (akouete | ἀκούετε | pres act ind 2 pl) to (akouete | ἀκούετε | pres act ind 2 pl) him?”

I have other sheep which are not of this fold. These too I must bring. They (akousousin | ἀκούσουσιν | fut act ind 3 pl) will (akousousin | ἀκούσουσιν | fut act ind 3 pl) listen (akousousin | ἀκούσουσιν | fut act ind 3 pl) to (akousousin | ἀκούσουσιν | fut act ind 3 pl) my voice, and there will be one flock, with one shepherd.
