So Philip ran to him and heard (ēkousen | ἤκουσεν | aor act ind 3 sg) him reading Isaiah the prophet and he said, “Do you understand what you are reading?”
Now when (akousantes | ἀκούσαντες | aor act ptcp nom pl masc) the apostles in Jerusalem heard (akousantes | ἀκούσαντες | aor act ptcp nom pl masc) that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John,
And with one accord the crowds paid attention to what was being said by Philip as they heard (akouein | ἀκούειν | pres act inf ) him and saw the signs that he was performing.
Surely I have seen the oppression of my people in Egypt, and I (ēkousa | ἤκουσα | aor act ind 1 sg) have (ēkousa | ἤκουσα | aor act ind 1 sg) heard (ēkousa | ἤκουσα | aor act ind 1 sg) their groaning, and I have come down to deliver them. Now come, I will send you back to Egypt.’
And Stephen said: “My brothers and fathers, hear (akousate | ἀκούσατε | aor act imperative 2 pl) me. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran,

Then they secretly talked some men into saying, “We have heard (akēkoamen | ἀκηκόαμεν | perf act ind 1 pl) him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”
Now when (akousantes | ἀκούσαντες | aor act ptcp nom pl masc) they heard (akousantes | ἀκούσαντες | aor act ptcp nom pl masc) this, they were enraged and wanted to kill them.
