Rejoice (charēte | χάρητε | aor pass imperative 2 pl) in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For their fathers treated the prophets in the same way.
And for you there will be joy and gladness, and many will (charēsontai | χαρήσονται | fut pass ind 3 pl) rejoice (charēsontai | χαρήσονται | fut pass ind 3 pl) because of his birth,
And when they heard it, they were pleased (echarēsan | ἐχάρησαν | aor pass ind 3 pl) and promised to give him money. So Judas was seeking how he might hand him over at a convenient moment.
Suddenly Jesus met them and said, “Good (chairete | χαίρετε | pres act imperative 2 pl) morning!” And they came to him, took hold of his feet, and worshipped him.
and twisting together a crown of thorns, they placed it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand, and kneeling before him they mocked him, saying, “Hail (chaire | χαῖρε | pres act imperative 2 sg), king of the Jews!”
And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice (chairei | χαίρει | pres act ind 3 sg) over it more than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray.
Rejoice (chairete | χαίρετε | pres act imperative 2 pl) and be very glad because your reward is great in heaven; for that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
