And when they caught sight of the star, they rejoiced (echarēsan | ἐχάρησαν | aor pass ind 3 pl) exceedingly with great joy.

For it is the God who said, “Out of darkness light will shine,” who has flooded our hearts with the light (phōtismon | φωτισμόν | acc sg masc) of the glorious knowledge of God in the face of Christ.

in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light (phōtismon | φωτισμόν | acc sg masc) of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

And night will be no more. They will have no need for the light of a lamp or the light of the sun because the Lord God will shine (phōtisei | φωτίσει | fut act ind 3 sg) on them, and they will reign forever and ever.

And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God floods it with light (ephōtisen | ἐφώτισεν | aor act ind 3 sg), and its lamp is the Lamb.

After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was made bright (ephōtisthē | ἐφωτίσθη | aor pass ind 3 sg) with his glory.

Instead, remember those former days in which, after you had received the light (phōtisthentes | φωτισθέντες | aor pass ptcp nom pl masc), you weathered such a difficult struggle with suffering.

For it is impossible when (phōtisthentas | φωτισθέντας | aor pass ptcp acc pl masc) those who (phōtisthentas | φωτισθέντας | aor pass ptcp acc pl masc) have (phōtisthentas | φωτισθέντας | aor pass ptcp acc pl masc) once been enlightened (phōtisthentas | φωτισθέντας | aor pass ptcp acc pl masc) and have tasted the heavenly gift and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit

but now has been made known through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, on the one hand, in order to abolish death and, on the other, to bring to light (phōtisantos | φωτίσαντος | aor act ptcp gen sg masc) life and incorruptibility through the gospel,

and to make it plain (phōtisai | φωτίσαι | aor act inf ) to all what is the administration of the mystery, which was kept hidden for ages in God who created all things,
