The reaper is already receiving wages and gathering a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may (chairē | χαίρῃ | pres act subj 3 sg) rejoice (chairē | χαίρῃ | pres act subj 3 sg) together.
It is the bridegroom who has the bride; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands by and listens for him, rejoices greatly when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.
Upon seeing Jesus, Herod was very glad (echarē | ἐχάρη | aor pass ind 3 sg), since for a long time he had been wanting to see him, because of what he had heard about him, and he was hoping to see some miraculous sign done by him.
As he was already approaching to the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began to rejoice (chairontes | χαίροντες | pres act ptcp nom pl masc) and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen,

As he said these things, all his adversaries were put to shame, while all the people rejoiced (echairen | ἔχαιρεν | imperf act ind 3 sg) at all the glorious things that were done by him.
