so that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine like stars (phōstēres | φωστῆρες | nom pl masc) in the universe,

And night will be no more. They will have no need for the light (phōtos | φωτός | gen sg neut) of a lamp or the light (phōtos | φωτός | gen sg neut) of the sun because the Lord God will shine on them, and they will reign forever and ever.

The nations will walk by its light (phōtos | φωτός | gen sg neut) and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.

the light (phōs | φῶς | nom sg neut) of a lamp will never again shine in you, and the voice of bridegroom and bride will never again be heard in you; for your merchants were the great ones of the earth, and all nations were deceived by your magic spells.

The one who loves his brother is living in the light (phōti | φωτί | dat sg neut) and in him there is no cause for stumbling.

The one who claims to be in the light (phōti | φωτί | dat sg neut) but goes on hating his brother is still in the darkness.

Yet it is a new commandment that I write to you, one that is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light (phōs | φῶς | nom sg neut) is already shining.

But if we walk in the light (phōti | φωτί | dat sg neut), as he is in the light (phōti | φωτί | dat sg neut), we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

Now this is the message that we have heard from him and are proclaiming to you: God is light (phōs | φῶς | nom sg neut), and there is absolutely no darkness in him.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, so that you may declare the glorious deeds of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light (phōs | φῶς | acc sg neut).
