For thus the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have appointed you to be a light (phōs | φῶς | acc sg neut) for the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

And behold, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared, and a light (phōs | φῶς | nom sg neut) shone in the cell. He struck the side of Peter and woke him, saying, “Get up quickly.” And the chains fell off his hands.

As he traveled along, approaching Damascus, suddenly a light (phōs | φῶς | nom sg neut) from heaven shone all around him;

I have come into the world as light (phōs | φῶς | nom sg neut), so that everyone who believes in me should not remain in darkness.

While you have the light (phōs | φῶς | acc sg neut), believe in the light (phōs | φῶς | acc sg neut), so that you may become sons of light.” (phōtos | φωτός | gen sg neut) When Jesus said these things, he went away and hid himself from them.

Then Jesus said to them, “The light (phōs | φῶς | nom sg neut) will be with you for yet a little while. Keep walking while you have the light (phōs | φῶς | acc sg neut), so that the darkness will not overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.

But if someone walks during the night, he will stumble, because the light (phōs | φῶς | nom sg neut) is not in him.”

Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in a day? If a person walks during the day, he will not stumble, because he sees the light (phōs | φῶς | acc sg neut) of this world.

As long as I am in the world, I am the light (phōs | φῶς | nom sg neut) of the world.”

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light (phōs | φῶς | nom sg neut) of the world. The one who follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light (phōs | φῶς | acc sg neut) of life.”
