The master commended the dishonest manager because he acted shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light (phōtos | φωτός | gen sg neut).
All that you said in the darkness will be heard in the light (phōti | φωτί | dat sg neut), and what you said in private rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
