All Scripture is breathed out by God and is profitable (ōphelimos | ὠφέλιμος | nom sg fem) for teaching, for reproof, for correcting, for training in righteousness,
for bodily exercise is of (ōphelimos | ὠφέλιμος | nom sg fem) value (ōphelimos | ὠφέλιμος | nom sg fem) for a little while, but godliness is of (ōphelimos | ὠφέλιμος | nom sg fem) value (ōphelimos | ὠφέλιμος | nom sg fem) for all things because it holds a promise for the present life and for the coming life.
Do not be swept off your feet by all sorts of strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, with which their adherents are (ōphelēthēsan | ὠφελήθησαν | aor pass ind 3 pl) not benefited (ōphelēthēsan | ὠφελήθησαν | aor pass ind 3 pl).
For we also had good news proclaimed to us just as they did; but the word they heard did (ōphelēsen | ὠφέλησεν | aor act ind 3 sg) not benefit (ōphelēsen | ὠφέλησεν | aor act ind 3 sg) those who were not united with those who listened in faith
Listen! I, Paul, tell you that if you agree to circumcision, Christ will (ōphelēsei | ὠφελήσει | fut act ind 3 sg) be (ōphelēsei | ὠφελήσει | fut act ind 3 sg) of (ōphelēsei | ὠφελήσει | fut act ind 3 sg) no benefit (ōphelēsei | ὠφελήσει | fut act ind 3 sg) to (ōphelēsei | ὠφελήσει | fut act ind 3 sg) you.
But as it is, brothers, if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will (ōphelēsō | ὠφελήσω | fut act ind 1 sg) I (ōphelēsō | ὠφελήσω | fut act ind 1 sg) benefit (ōphelēsō | ὠφελήσω | fut act ind 1 sg) you unless I impart to you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching?
If I give away everything I own, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it (ōpheloumai | ὠφελοῦμαι | pres pass ind 1 sg) benefits (ōpheloumai | ὠφελοῦμαι | pres pass ind 1 sg) me (ōpheloumai | ὠφελοῦμαι | pres pass ind 1 sg) nothing.
to be sure, circumcision is of value (ōphelei | ὠφελεῖ | pres act ind 3 sg) if you practice the law, but if you are a transgressor of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.
The Pharisees therefore said to one another, “You see, you are accomplishing (ōpheleite | ὠφελεῖτε | pres act ind 2 pl) nothing. Look, the world has gone after him!”
