In response Jesus said, “Stop! No more of this.” And touching the ear (ōtiou | ὠτίου | gen sg neut), he healed it.

But one of those with Jesus stretched out his hand, drew his sword, and struck the slave of the high priest, cutting off his ear (ōtion | ὠτίον | acc sg neut).

Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear (ōtarion | ὠτάριον | acc sg neut). The servant’s name was Malchus.

But one of those standing by, having drawn his sword, struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear (ōtarion | ὠτάριον | acc sg neut).

So (hōste | ὥστε | conj) then, let those who are suffering according to the will of God by doing good entrust their souls to a faithful Creator.

who through him believe in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that (hōste | ὥστε | conj) your faith and hope are in God.

So (hōste | ὥστε | conj) we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that (hōste | ὥστε | conj) he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming that he himself is God.

so that (hōste | ὥστε | conj) we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all the persecutions and afflictions that you are enduring.

So (hōste | ὥστε | conj) encourage one another with these words.
