The word of the Lord has echoed forth from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place your faith in God has become known, so (hōste | ὥστε | conj) we have no need to say anything.

So (hōste | ὥστε | conj) you became an example for all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.

Therefore (hōste | ὥστε | conj), my brothers, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, my dear friends!

So then (hōste | ὥστε | conj), my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but even more now in my absence, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,
