just as those who were, from the beginning, eyewitnesses and became ministers of the word, have (paredosan | παρέδοσαν | aor act ind 3 pl) delivered (paredosan | παρέδοσαν | aor act ind 3 pl) it to us,
So Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released to them Barabbas; and having scourged Jesus, he handed (paredōken | παρέδωκεν | aor act ind 3 sg) him over to be crucified.
For he knew that the ruling priests had (paradedōkeisan | παραδεδώκεισαν | pluperf act ind 3 pl) handed (paradedōkeisan | παραδεδώκεισαν | pluperf act ind 3 pl) Jesus over (paradedōkeisan | παραδεδώκεισαν | pluperf act ind 3 pl) out of envy.
As soon as it was morning, the ruling priests, after holding a consultation with the elders and scribes and the entire council, bound Jesus, led him away, and handed (paredōkan | παρέδωκαν | aor act ind 3 pl) him over to Pilate.
Now his betrayer (paradidous | παραδιδούς | pres act ptcp nom sg masc) had given them a sign, saying, “The one I will kiss, it is he. Seize him and lead him away under guard.”
And he returned a third time and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? Enough! The hour has come. Look, the Son of Man is about to be betrayed (paradidotai | παραδίδοται | pres pass ind 3 sg) into the hands of sinners.
For the Son of Man is going as it is written of him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed (paradidotai | παραδίδοται | pres pass ind 3 sg) — better for him if that man had not been born.”
