I persecuted the followers of this Way even to their death, putting in chains both men and women and delivering (paradidous | παραδιδούς | pres act ptcp nom sg masc) them to prison,
He came to us and, taking Paul’s belt, he tied his own hands and feet with it and said, “The Holy Spirit says this: ‘This is how the Jews will tie up in Jerusalem the man whose belt this is, and will deliver (paradōsousin | παραδώσουσιν | fut act ind 3 pl) him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”
As they went through the cities, they delivered (paredidosan | παρεδίδοσαν | imperf act ind 3 pl) to them for observance the decrees that had been decided on by the apostles and elders who were in Jerusalem.
but Paul chose Silas and departed, having been commended (paradotheis | παραδοθείς | aor pass ptcp nom sg masc) to the grace of the Lord by the brothers.
and from there they sailed to Antioch, where they had been commended (paradedomenoi | παραδεδομένοι | perf pass ptcp nom pl masc) to the grace of God for the work that they had fulfilled.
When he had seized him, he put him in prison, handing (paradous | παραδούς | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) him over to four squads of four soldiers each to guard him, wishing after the Passover to bring him out to the people.
But Saul was making havoc of the church; entering house after house, he (paredidou | παρεδίδου | imperf act ind 3 sg) dragged off both men and women and put (paredidou | παρεδίδου | imperf act ind 3 sg) them in prison.
But God turned away and gave (paredōken | παρέδωκεν | aor act ind 3 sg) them over (paredōken | παρέδωκεν | aor act ind 3 sg) to worship the host of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets: ‘Did you bring to me slain beasts and sacrifices forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?
for we have heard him say that this Jesus the Nazarene will destroy this place and will change the customs that Moses handed down (paredōken | παρέδωκεν | aor act ind 3 sg) to us.”
