Because the time has come to begin judgment with the house of God, and if first with us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st), what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

He himself bore our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) sins in his body on the tree so that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. By his wounds you were healed.

Blessed be the God and Father of our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy gave us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Elijah was a man exactly like us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st), and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and for three years and six months no rain fell on the earth.

Or do you imagine that scripture has no meaning when it says, “God yearns jealously over the spirit that he has placed in us” (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st)?

And the tongue is a fire! The tongue is a world of iniquity among our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) members; it defiles the whole body, sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.

Now if we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st), then we guide their entire body.

Was not Abraham our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) father justified by works when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?
