They went out from us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) but they were not of us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st); for if they had been of us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st), they would have continued with us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st). But they went out from us that it might become plain that none of them are of us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st).

He is the propitiation for our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) sins, and not for ours only, but also for those of the entire world.

If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st).

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) from all sin.

These things we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) are writing that our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) joy may be complete.

that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st); and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.

this life was revealed, and we have seen it and are bearing witness and proclaiming to you the eternal life that existed with the Father and was revealed to us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) —

That which has existed from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) eyes, which we looked upon and our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) hands have touched, concerning the word of life —
