because everyone who has been born of God conquers the world. And this is the victorious power that has conquered the world — our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) faith.
By this, love is fully realized among us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st), so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because just as he is, so also are we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) in this world.
And we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) have come to know and to trust the love that God has for us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st). God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
No one has ever seen God. If we love one another, God abides in us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st), and his love has achieved its goal in us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st).
In this is love, not that we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) have loved God but that he loved us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) and sent his Son as a propitiation for our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) sins.
By this the love of God is revealed to us: (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) that God has sent his one and only Son into the world so that we might live through him.
