For this reason, should I come, I will bring up the things he is doing, disparaging us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) with malicious talk. And not satisfied with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers. He even prevents those who would like to and puts them out of the church.

I sent a letter to the church, but Diotrephes, who likes to be in charge, does not acknowledge our (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) authority.

Therefore we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) ought to show hospitality to such men, so that we may be coworkers for the truth.

Although I have many other things to write to you, I do not want to use paper and ink; instead, I hope to be with you and speak face to face, so that our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) joy may be complete.

Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st), from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Son of the Father, in truth and in love.

because of the truth that abides in us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) and will be with us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) forever:

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) discernment so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This one is the true God and eternal life.

And if we know that he hears us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) regarding whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

And this is the confidence we have as we approach him: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st).

And this is the testimony: God gave us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
